A graduate of Jennings High School in 1996, Scott followed in the footsteps of his grandparents, M.E. and Johnnie Rose Blanchard, and pursued a career in education. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from McNeese State University. (2005) During his career as a front office executive with the indoor football Louisiana Swashbucklers, he completed a Masters in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University (2008) and was certified to teach in Texas and Louisiana.
Following five successful years as a coach and teacher, Scott completed a Masters in Post-Secondary Administration from Louisiana State University,(2015) his family alma mater. Presently, while continuing his teaching career at Jennings High School, Scott is pursuing his Ph.D. in Social Studies Education from LSU.
Recently Scott completed certification through the Smithsonian Institute to teach using the C3 Framework, as well as being named Jennings High School and Jeff Davis Parish Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year.
Scott is most proud of being married to his wife Holly, who has dealt with him for more than 12 years and his three incredible children. Scott resides in what was his childhood home in Jennings, Louisiana.
